My dad was supposed to fly into Colorado Springs on the 11th. He called me up on the 10th to tell me that due to medical issues with his eye, he would not be able to fly out. We were pretty bummed and I could tell that he was REALLY bummed out. So we just decided we would go to them and surprise everyone. We got stuff taken care of and packed the vehicle with our luggage and the dogs and hit the road to California at about 10:30pm.
