No more nudes in Playboy

“I just get it for the articles” can now be a legit excuse for having a copy of Playboy Magazine. Playboy magazine announced on Tuesday that starting with the March 2016 issue that will be available February of 2016, it will no longer feature photos of nude women.

With so many free porn sites on the internet the company feels the current model for the magazine is out dated. Playboy stated they will still have photos of women in provocative poses however. The magazine will try to focus more on the articles and humor which they say many readers of the mobile app and website are more interested in from Playboy based on there research. Playboy had a little fun with the news today in a recent tweet.

Playboy magazine issue 1The magazine was founded in 1953. That’s 62 years worth of naked women in their magazine. The first issue being released in December of 1953 and featured Marilyn Monroe on the cover. Copy’s of the first issue in good condition have sold for over $5,000.
