A Missouri man was minding his businesses, burning trash in a field when suddenly the fire got out of control. Apparently the man thought he could use his van to drive back and forth over the fire and put the fire out. Several problems with that though. There is a good chance he will just catch the van on fire. By the way, his van was also loaded with firearms, ammo and a nice full tank of gas. So as you can imagine things went south when his tires caught on fire. The man had to abandon his fire fighting efforts and watch as his van went up in flames. A spokes person from Clay County Sheriff’s Office said this about a possible insurance claim from the owner, “It seems like he’s just going to have to take a loss on that vehicle because I don’t think they’re going to cover it”. Ya, I don’t think so ether. So if you need to put out a fire, I would not advise using your van, car, truck or anything else that contains a fuel tank on it to extinguish the fire by driving over it.
