Christopher Chaos (Real name: Christopher Bandini) is from Bishop, CA. He joined the U.S. Army soon after graduating high school and became an 88M (Motor Transportation Operator).
He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, GA, and then completed Advance Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Leanardwood, MO.
His first duty station was with the 1-13AR in Fort Riley, KS. He spent two years at Riley before he went to the Joint Security Area (JSA) at Camp Bonifas, Korea. After spending two years at the JSA, Christopher went to Fort Carson, CO, and was assigned to the 3rd ACR, where he would deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After a twelve-month deployment in Tal Afar, he would move to 4-10 CAV in the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, where he would return to Iraq for a fifteen-month deployment to Baghdad.
After a little more than ten years in the Army, Christopher decided to move on to pursue other interests. He always intended to use the Army experience as a stepping stone to a better future. His original plan included only spending four years in the Army, but the war in Iraq and other life events extended that timeline. He would get out as an E-5/ Sergeant.
Christopher used his GI Bill to pursue an education in television and radio before getting a job as an instructor to train Army soldiers at Fort Carson.
His interest in creating video content started in Korea, where he discovered that he enjoyed the process while making a video for his family back home about what he was doing there. It began with fun videos with friends, making music videos for local bands, and then some documentaries. He was originally making vlogs on the Christopher Chaos channel before he started to try out making some Army-related videos to teach people about a topic. It took several months before one of those Army-related videos took off, and he decided to dedicate the content on the Christopher Chaos channel to Army-related videos. Since then, the channel has grown to over 130,000 subscribers and over 25 million total views.
Christopher is married to his wife Jessica. They have one daughter named Zorel. Christopher still trains Army soldiers on Fort Carson during the day and creates online content from home in the evenings.
